American Express Credit Card Useful Information
It’s hard imagining life in today’s world without a credit card. Unfortunately, if you cancel your American Express credit card like I did, it means you cannot have access to certain services you may have taken for granted. No, I wasn’t even able to hire a Hertz rental car, or buy tickets for a plane trip to Baltimore over the internet. It seemed like only a few years ago that cash was the preferred way to get stuff, but those days are long gone now.
All across the country and the world, people are using their Visa, Mastercard card, or American Express credit card to make purchases with money that they do not have of goods which they may not need. How many people consider the cost of paying later when they have the convenience of having now, when using their American Express credit card. Unfortunately, credit card debts are mounting in many places around the world. I am not joking when I say that credit card borrowing is probably the biggest problem facing Americans today.
Canceling my American Express credit card was something I had to do as I much as I hated doing it. Once I had the power to buy things without parting with my money immediately, I was almost unstoppable. I was using my card for just about everything, but I soon noticed the debts were mounting. When the debt became so great that I couldn’t possibly pay it, I began to panic.
It took a debt consultancy specialist to finally get me back into a position where I actually started to pay my debt off. It’s not something I ever want to repeat. Now, however, the debt is paid off and the American Express credit card has gone. Most of you reading this will probably think it’s not the fault of the credit card but you need to understand something fundamental about human psychology.
You have more control when you see the cash actually coming out of your pocket. The credit card just made it so easy; you don’t even look at the cost. I would just keep spending, not realizing until all the money was gone. I no longer have an American Express credit card problem!
